Christina Foitou began as an abstract painter who worked with a gestural technique on oil canvases. Her affection for movement and dance led her to combine visual gesture and abstraction with the imprint and live model performance. Yves Klein’s Anthropometries is one of her sources of inspiration but in her own performance theatre plays an important role and equally important is her part in the whole work.
